Slide About Us The County of Ventura Wellness Program functions in accordance with the County of Ventura Strategic Plan to "promote a culture of connection, health, and well-being for all County employees." Our team of qualified professionals works to support the program's goals of providing and encouraging workplace policies, programs, and practices for the wellness of all County employees. Brandon Bati Program Manager Brandon is passionate about helping individuals create a sustainable and healthy relationship with themselves and the those around them. Before joining the team, he attained his B.S. in Kinesiology - Exercise Physiology, from California State University of Northridge. During his studies, he supported a wide age-demographic of individuals seeking rehabilitative and preventative healthcare; ranging from adolescent to senior care. By utilizing his knowledge and experience, he is committed to creating a supportive community of individuals who seek a healthy and prosperous life.
Melissa Davidson Program Coordinator Melissa has been a registered dietitian since 2012, with experience in a variety of settings and expertise in chronic and acute illness management and prevention, surgical and medical weight management, sports nutrition, exercise, and health education. She has a passion for all things health and wellness, both professionally and personally, with special emphasis on disease prevention through nutrition and lifestyle.
Melissa holds a bachelor’s degree in nutrition and dietetics, as well as a Master of Public Health degree in health education and wellness coaching, both from Loma Linda University. She has enhanced her professional development by earning several specialty certifications including Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
Outside of her work as a dietitian, Melissa has been a Jazzercise instructor since 2011 and teaches classes in Ventura. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys relaxing with her firefighter husband and fluffy orange cat, reading, gardening, and visiting family in her home state of Oregon.

Our History In 1983, the County of Ventura experienced a 71% increase in medical claims. In response, the Board of Supervisors approved a Labor Management Committee recommendation to establish the Wellness Program in an effort to mitigate rising health care costs. Since its initiation in 1985, the Wellness Program has continued to develop and offer innovative programs to help County employees improve their health, and has received numerous state and national awards.
